Now SEO is a major topic but we are trying give you the basic things for you to consider so you can attempt to do it on your website or have your web designer to complete for you.

• Speed – Google ranks speed quite heavily so you need to test your website and see how fast it operates and what you can do to improve it. Although it’s very hard to get it perfect it’s well worth knowing what you can improve on. The tools we like to use for this is: GT Metrix or Page Speed Insights
• Content – You must have good content that is what your audience wants to read and will find useful this means people will be searching for your content or keyword and then read your post. The longer they stay on your website before returning to google is also a big factor.
• Flesch reading tester – This tool allows you to check how easy your content is to read to give you an idea of what you can do to improve it and make it easier to read for your visitors. This could be making sentences shorter or using easier words. Here’s a tool we used: Flesch Reading Tester
• Websites built with WordPress we highly recommend you use SEOyoast, It will help you greatly and is free.
• Social Media – Build your following and interact with your followers so when you publish your content you have more people to publish it too. Many to try: Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Tumblr, Pinterest, Reddit & StumbleUpon.
• Focus your keywords, Find the keywords you want to rank with and focus your content around that and then monitor, try and improve to find out what works for you and your niche.
